Internet Marketing – Climb to the Top

Owning or managing your own business can be very stressful, and many people have so many things to think about on a daily basis that they don’t even realize they are ignoring one of the most important business processes: internet marketing. Research has shown that millions of people turn to the internet first when they want to find a product or service, and you’ve got to figure out a way to take advantage of this ready-made audience.

Traditional marketing usually consists of creating promotional materials that can be distributed and disseminated in a number of different ways, usually through print, radio, or television advertising. While these methods have been proven successful to a certain extent, they won’t be enough to keep you fresh in the minds of web surfers.

Internet marketing is an amazing tool for entrepreneurs, because it never closes, it can’t be torn down or covered with another advertisement, and it isn’t so permanent that you can’t make changes if your product or service suddenly becomes different.

Something that you have to understand about internet marketing is that it is always most successful when it happens in a wide variety of ways, all at once. This means that you have to find a way to combine search engine optimization techniques, with email advertising, website linking and other tactics in order to build quality brand awareness.

When you talk to most new internet business owners about internet marketing, you are likely to see their face become a little frustrated and very confused. Because there are so many different ways to go about it, choosing the right methods can be difficult.

If you want to take advantage of all the different ways that internet marketing can help to propel your business to the top of its industry, but you don’t want to waste time making silly novice mistakes, you might want to consider using an established online marketing firm to design and execute your campaigns.

The best internet marketing companies are the ones that have been around for a long time, and that have proven over and over again that they can increase visibility and sales for their client companies. Don’t be sucked in by fly by night companies that tell you they can double your traffic overnight, because these claims are often much too good to be true.

Don’t waste your time on marketing techniques that won’t get you noticed in the audiences you’re targeting. Click here to learn more about internet marketing.

Fun Ways to Improve Facebook Ad CTRs

Driving traffic to your website or Fan page through Facebook advertising is becoming a popular trend these days. And for good reason too! Facebook is easily capable of sending you thousands of highly targeted visitors! But with all of the advertising Facebook users are subjected to, what can you do to make your ad stick out? Traditionally, Facebook ad click-through rates (CTRs) are pretty horrible. From my research I’ve seen that an average performing ad will have about a 0.02% CTR. A few weeks ago when I had decided that I wanted to use Facebook ads to drive awareness to a contest I was running called RavenHunt , I found my ads falling into that average category (or worse!). I had setup these two ads: The “Play RavenHunt and Win!” ad had a CTR of 0.017%, and the “Win a Free FlipHD Camera!” advertisement’s CTR was higher at 0.022%. Not bad CTRs by Facebook standards, but I wanted something more. So I asked myself, “Self, if you were the target audience for these ads and were putzing around on Facebook – what would make you click on an ad?” What I wasn’t considering was that my target audience (Internet Marketers) are used to these types of ads. In fact, they are the type of people who create ads just like these. So that’s when I decided to get silly. People love to laugh, and it was my theory that if you had a funny enough ad you’d be able to increase your CTRs. Additionally, I knew that I needed images that naturally drew a person’s attention to them. I needed kittens and puppies. And that’s when I created these two ads that doubled my CTRs: The “Puppies Are Awesome” ad had a CTR of 0.04% and the “This is a cat.” ad was just shy of that at “0.039%”. So by adding some fun to my Facebook ads, my CTRs increased. That got me thinking again – is there a way to combine the two approaches and still maintain a higher CTR? And that’s when I created the ad, “A Game for SEOs by SEOs”: This ad had a 0.06% CTR and didn’t go overboard on the silliness. Instead, it spoke to it’s target audience more appropriately, and still had a less than standard headline. It just goes to show that with the right creativity and the right amount of effort, you can make significant differences to your Facebook ad campaigns. Now if only I can get that number up to 0.1%. Website Advertising – Spread Your Message

Coming up with a good idea and a good product is only the beginning of having a successful online business. Not only do you have to come up with something that your target audience is likely to need and purchase, you also have to come up with a way to make sure they see it and realize that they need to buy it. That’s why website advertising is so important to the success of your business.

Many people are excited by the opportunities that are provided by the open design of the internet. Literally anyone with a little startup capital and a lot of determination can turn their ideas into a money making business. But without a quality website advertising campaign, all of this hard work will be for nothing.

Just because you are running a small or brand new business with a tiny website advertising budget doesn’t mean that you can’t make use of some time-tested techniques for drawing in viewers to your site and turning them into customers very quickly.

One of the keys to successful website advertising is targeting your message to the people that are likely to be most receptive to it. This means that before you can advertise to them, you must fully know your audience and research the ways that they like to communicate.

These days everyone is using email because it is faster, more convenient and doesn’t require that you recycle a bunch of wasted paper when you’re done reading the message. This is why many companies have switched over to website advertising that utilizes electronic communication instead of paper.

Another website advertising tactic that has proven to be successful time and time again is the placement of banner advertisements on sites that members of your audience are likely to visit on a regular basis. This means if you’re selling sports drink, you might advertise on team uniform sites, or if you’re selling pet care items, you might advertise on dog training sites.

In case you’re rather new to the world of website advertising and aren’t sure that you can pull of a campaign successfully on your own, know that there are many qualified internet marketing firms out there that can explain the different tactics that are available, and construct a package that will spread your message in a comprehensive way on the internet.

Don’t fall for website advertising tricks that will turn off your customers and get you slapped by the search engines. Click here for tactics that work.
